先週はチェックしていませんでしたが、この週末にはMay Lakeへの枝道がようやくオープンになっていました。
8月に入ってから土日はすべて午後から雨が降っているおかしな天気の今年のヨセミテです。
今朝、友人のKimiからもメールが来ました。
"When we left yesterday there were quite a lot of clouds in the sky -- we could see in the distance the big cumulus clouds on the high sierra. I think its supposed to rain every afternoon for the next few days. So, be prepared for afternoon thunderstorms in Tuolumne! Also, there is more water than usual in all the streams. The conditions are more like mid-July than mid-August. There were a lot of mosquitoes in places I didn't expect at this time of year."
私見かもしれませんが、蚊は最盛時と比べるとかなり減っていると思います。
先週はハウスキーピング、
今週はTMキャンプに泊まりましたが、
どちらも虫除けは全く使いませんでした。
（全く居ないわけではないですが、気になりません）
天候のせいかもうだいぶ気温も下がっていて
そのせいかもしれません。
Tuolumne Meadowもだいぶ茶色で、はや秋の様相です。
